The FEBio software downloads and knowledgebase can be found here.FEBio Studio 1.8 has been released! It comes with FEBio 3.7.įirst I want to thank all the people that help to produce on this great software! This release contains many improvements, such as better performance of the reactive viscoelastic framework, faster startup of FSI models, box constraints for constrained levmar optimization, new rendering features, and more. I am currently working with finite element on fish skulls to compare their resistances to the stress. The volume of the skulls is obtained with microCT scans. I use VgStudio Max for the segmentation of the bones and for the mesh production, Geomagic Studio to correct and smooth the STL meshes, TetGen for the solid construction and then FeBio suite for the FEA analysis. My problem deals with the results obtained after the resolution in FeBio (that terminated properly). In PostView, there are only high stress areas on the fixed points, the stress remained very low in the loading area and there is no stress elsewhere. I try to change the value of the loading pressure but it didn't change anything except for the highest values: FeBio failed. I think it can be a reason of the failure and I try to correct them. Geomagic studio and Tetgen removed a lot of them but there are still many that remained. I try to find other solutions in the litterature but I only found papers that suggest theoretical solutions to correct slivers and one 1 that offers a practical solution (but there are no developped software or contact adresses available on the internet). P.S.: here are the value I use for my model (for testing only)ĭensity: 0.001 (in g.mm^3 e.g. Sliver-Free Fully Automated Robust Mesh Generation for Complex Embedded Organic Shapes From 3-D Volumetric Images.
